Happy Mother’s Day

Anyway, Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. If you are doing right by your kids, we appreciate you. My parents and I went out for brunch and then went to see some million dollar houses in the Tallahassee Parade of Homes. My parents do this kind of stuff on the weekends, particularly because they are thinking about building another house. For me, it’s great to dream, but the chances of my getting a house that is anywhere near as expensive as those houses anytime in my near future, is slim to none. But it was great hanging out with the ‘rents!

Tallahassee is still kinda smoky. The smoke was so bad that there was zero visibility on the nearby highways and highway traffic had to be partially diverted through town. The thing that sucks, besides the fact that there are wildfires, is that an otherwise gorgeous day, looks crappy because of all the smoke in the air. Plus, it can’t be good for asthmatics.

And it’s so bad all around Florida that birds are falling out of the sky because they get disoriented by the smoke…

So if you are in Florida, don’t throw your cigarette butts out of your car while driving. It could get you arrested, or worse, start up another brush fire…
