Hip Hop Harry: Where Have You Been All My Life?
Posted on August 24, 2007
(You could have saved a generation from the whole “Barney” thing at least…)

So I was up early and decided to watch TV. I’m scrolling through the TV listings and I see “Hip Hop Harry” go by. *sigh* “What kind of foolishness is this?” So I flipped to TLC and was pleasantly surprised.
I was drawn in by the songs and dances (don’t lie and tell me you haven’t found yourself unconsciously bopping to a song even though you don’t like it.) And when they started Thunderclapping on the “I Love to Learn” song? I was hooked.
I’m sure I’m late and that a lot of people with kids have at least heard of the show, but I’m considering buying a DVD, or a t-shirt, or some other merchandising (and learning the dances).
I tried to find the “I Love to Learn” song/video, but I couldn’t. Trust, that song rides so hard too. I’m guessing it’s a little bit better for your kids than playing “Read a Book” for them.
Below is Harry’s signature dance, “Do the Harry”.
