Quickies
Posted on September 25, 2007
I am not up to posting for real right now, so here are some quickies for ya:

Maya Rudolph likes to toy with people’s heads.
WHY?!?!?!
(Click on the picture for a bigger version and the full story.)
If it isn’t drugs, that’s some pretty strong alcohol, Kanye.

(Visit the link to see it full-sized.)
Black women are under attack and getting no attention (BlackPerspective.net)
And just a quick thought. Now that the rally in Jena is over, what happens next? Don’t let the momentum die.

Here in Nashville my coalition is having an event called “Beyonda Jena: What’s Next”.
We’re going to examine Jena 6 related issues, and hopefully start mobilizing people to do something about.
As I was saying on the D.C. radio show I was on yesterday, everybody has to organize locally. There’s no civil rights God who can do it for you from one central location. ML King and the SCLC depended on local organization, and they just helped to coordinate everything nationally and bring attention.
This is such a sad story. And you are so right about being careful about who we let into our lives. God’s blessings upon her and her family.
