There’s Just No In-Between, Is There? Evo vs iPhone.

They’re going to make me choose…  is the grass REALLY greener on the other side (*ahem* #TeamiPhone)?

I currently have Sprint and I love love love my plan. Unlimited data included? What else could a techie geek girl ask for? Seriously… I have a 450 minutes monthly plan and rarely, if ever, use more than half of those minutes each month; check my data usage… it’s redonkulous! But anyway, as awesome as the plans are, the phone selection, not so much.

Every 2 seconds, Verizon comes out with a new phone that makes me go “why the crap can’t Sprint have that phone?!?!” or “Oh my Gosh, the Android makes phone calls, plays music, integrates all your social networks and performs open heart surgery ALL at the same time??!??!? C’MON!!!” And if it wasn’t a lament about Verizon’s new phones, it was cursing Apple and AT&T out for having a secret blood oath that will not allow any other cell phone provider to get the iPhone.

So I got myself a Blackberry and was happy for a while. Until my Blackberry started acting like an unruly teenager and freezing me out. What do you mean I can’t run 10 different apps and keep every.single.text.and.email forever? So of course, my coveting for the iPhone increased. Three of my co-workers each came in with a shiny new Android phone and my coveting for an Android phone increased… maybe I could afford the Sprint’s early cancellation fee and make a mad dash to AT&T or Verizon?

Sprint, like a jealous lover, realized my eyes were wandering and said “Listen here, I’m bringing out the Evo, the best phone that ever existed [Sprint's words, not mine, lol], come back into my loving arms…”

So now, I don’t know what to do. I would love to get my hands on an Evo, but I’m wary of first releases with technology. And I have until July before I’m upgrade eligible… what’s a girl to do?

Tayo don’t do it. Don’t switch to the iPhone, the Evo is a more than capable device. I have one. I know. Trust me. I am in love all over again with Sprint. The company that brought out the Palm Pre which I swore by (but was actually huge disappointment) has done it again, minus the huge disappointment part. The Evo can do it all. I have opened a ustream account because of the Evo. The picture quality is fantastic and the phones capabilities seem limitless. The only draw back that I have experienced thus far, is that the battery life is less than stellar during moderate to heavy usage. The apps available for this phone are more than enough to appease even the harshest critic (imo). Holla at me for more, I’m eating and typing this on my Evo right now. Peace.

Lol! You are always the first to get a new gadget!! Yeah, so far, it’s looking like the Evo+Sprint…. I’ll find you in a week to see what you think
