Juanita Bynum to Appear on Divorce Court

Okay, I’m scanning the Yahoo news clips and I ran across this. This Thursday and Friday (April 24 and 25), Televangelist Juanita Bynum is appearing on “Divorce Court” to finalize her divorce from Thomas W. Weeks, III.
Ya’ll remember those incidents from last August where Thomas assaulted Juanita. Juanita filed for divorce about a month later and Thomas was put on three years’ probation.
As the story goes, Juanita will discuss her relationship, domestic abuse case and her suicidal thoughts. Bynum also said that “she would always love Weeks, but made a decision to ‘love me more.’”
I just wonder what exactly is the point of going on “Divorce Court.” I mean, no offense intended to the show or to Miss Bynum, but “Divorce Court” is a showcase for dysfunctional relationships and marriages. It may be interesting to watch, but it is not a reputable show. I could appreciate Juanita going on Larry King Live, Oprah, or hell, even Bill O’Reilly if her heart was really into that, but “Divorce Court?” It feels like stunt casting to me.

I’mma need Tom Cruise to back away from Queen Latifah. He’s already almost converted Will Smith to Scientology. How much of Black Hollywood do you really need to recruit so that regular Black folk will start converting to Scientology? That is all.

As a Tallahassee representer, I choose to rep for T-Pain and I am jazzed to tell you that he (and Akon - ew) has been nominated for a Grammy for Bartender (he’s nominated in 4 categories total)! And while I don’t too much care for that song, I’m happy that he was nominated. (For the entire list, visit the Grammy site.)
All that means for me is that Tally is just that much more on the map. See, we’re good for more than just politics and football…

*sigh* Britney… I was actually rooting for you… I mean anyone with a year as crappy as you have had (even though you caused most of it) deserves a little ray of sunshine. Say, for instance, people remembering a time when you were famous for entertaining rather than showing off your cooch or utlizing public restrooms in your bare feet.
I just want to know why she looks so bored? Trust me, we were just as bored if not more than you were. LOL at all the celebs’ reactions. They look just as confused as the rest of us.

And Drew Barrymore should teach it.
With all the Hollyweird socialites losing their damn minds nowadays (Lindsay, Britney - I’m looking right at you), it think it’s necessary.
And Drew Barrymore is the perfect teacher because she went through all of this before. And she was hardcore. Homegirl was doing drugs by the time she was 10.
But lately, we can all say that she successfully reinvented herself from wild child to bad girl to lovable rom-com (romantic comedy) actress/producer/director.
Can somebody get on this? I’m done.
