Duties
* Served as project lead for digital/online content including social media, web and mobile app
* Planned, implemented and evaluated Library’s social media efforts including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
* Responsible for overseeing and developing social media strategic plan
* Worked with libraries/divisions/departments to create and implement communications strategies for both overall and campaign-specific web content and social media; overaw and organized Library employees using social media, including holding monthly update meetings
* Provided creative direction for graphic design regarding online materials
* Responsible for managing content on website, including content and SEO audits, maintaining and improving upon approval workflow, and establishing and overseeing website strategy and best practices
* Provided and analyzed analytics for social media and website on a quarterly basis and as needed
* Served as assistant copy editor for the department, reviewing and editing print and online materials and publications using AP Style guidelines
* Developed and maintained positive relationships with Library staff, District of Columbia agencies, corporate and non-profit organizations, as well as other marketing and communications professionals
* Researched current marketing and communications (specifically social media and web content) practices and trends
